ha ha none of em are simple and they cost an arm and a leg in the long run… they cost a small fortune….. it goes way beyond just the camera stupidest thing they ever fake was digital cameras…..ive had about twenty different types of cameras plus two digitals..ya better have alotta money toots… stick with film if you want cheap… if shes very non technical you dont wanna buy her a digital……..if shes non technical buy her a poloroid camera ….like one professional said digital cameras are like a machine gun you keep snapping photos all the time and it expenditure alotta money .. printers computers etc…..and once they get their foot in the door with a digital its magazines and tripods and gadgets and lenses and dslr next step and etc etc etc….. and courses and classes…. it just never ends on the money thing… or technical stuff … excellent luck..if you go too quick or guide or have pressure of other peoples problems they aint simple..
You don’t have to be technical to use a digital camera but she might need a lesson or too. My inlaws (in their 80’s) have a nikon point and shoot and they keep it on auto, when they want pictures printed, they go to a photo kiosk and place the card in and print. For older people look for a camera with image stabilization (IS).
I prefer canon myself. My sister has this camera and likes it. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B001SER47Y/?tag=googhydr-20&hvadid=4496282325&ref=pd_sl_92fomwjxsb_e

You can get this camera at Amazon.com for $225.00.
This camera is spectacular! I’ve played with a few digital cameras but as this is my first digital camera that i’ve owned, I’ve establish this soooooooooo simple to use!
Within minutes of opening the box, I was using the camera to its full advantage. It’s as simple as press the on button, make sure you’re on take pictures mode and look through the viewfinder. if you wanna see the picture just press the screen button. Then….point and press the button to take your photo.
The memory is pretty excellent about 16mb i reckon but unless you’re a professional, you’re not really going to be using high quality and all 4.0 mega pixels so you’ve got pleanty of room for pictures. The habitual quality is brilliant enough! (If you’re going on holiday though I would urge the memory card add-on incase you do run out).
The screen is about 3cm x 2.5cm and is a really useful picture as no matter how excellent a camera you use, if you start laughing you’ll end up with distorted photos.
Self timer is simple to use as is changing the sparkle. Macro is a small more complicated. This is the function for when you take pictures of objects really close to you. If you wanna be a bit arty and take photos of flowers, this is a MUST function.
The show mode is fantastic fun to use and the signal isn’t too terrible at all. I recorded my entire school singing “Jeruselem” on the last ever day of school and its nearly as excellent as being there live. It subdue makes me wanna weep!
The zoom is also simple to use…press the magnifying glass to zoom in and the square button with black dots on (impossible to discribe) to zoom out. simple!
I reckon my own mother would be able to use this camera and shes a technophobic! You can’t really go incorrect… like I said…point and press!
Downloading your photos to a computer is simpler than it may signal. The first time you do it, house the CD in the guide and follow instructions. Attach the cable to the PC and the other end to the camera and use the software. (Basically click download).
Maybe my friend Caz and I have really weird eyes but in photos of us we get a lot of red-eye…or maybe its just the really excellent sparkle. Luckily, the camera comes with MGI Photosuit so you can alter things like red-eye and blemishes.
I would urge you invest in some rechargable batteries and the adapter to charge them though. If I go on a nighttime out and exchange the batteries before I go I always take an extra set of batteries just incase. It goes through batteries that quickly if you use the camera a lot…especially with the screen on and when taking films.
If you’re new to digital photography or you want a really excellent camera at a reasonable price… shope nearly for this camera. I was given this camera as a birthday present so I shouldn’t really comment on the price but it wabout about £140 from Argos. The SD memory cards are about £50 so shop nearly for these!
Simple to use, excellent value for money and really stylish! perfect!
