I won a $400 gift certificate at onecall.com and I am plotting on buying a digital camera. I would like one that has excellent zoom capacity to get wildlife shots of birds and larger animals and also excellent landscape shots. I am wondering how much optical zoom I need and what type of belt lenses are excellent for scenery shots. Thanks a lot.

best cheap digital camera i need help finding a digital slr camera with good zoom?
I am looking to buy a digital slr camera. the problem is i want to keep the expenditure honestly low (prefer under 800) but want a excellent brand and a excellent zoom. i want to use it primarily for sports photography, including baseball games everywhere i will be sitting in the stands doubtless about 50 ft. from the dugout (maybe 100 feet from home plate) and i want to get excellent pictures of batters and baserunners. it will also be used a lot at hockey games so i would like a zoom that may possibly cover a pretty excellent distance and get me close to the action. is this possible with that kind of budget? i am willing ot spend more only if that budget won’t get my anything worthwhile. thanks for your help

refurbished digital camera Need help buying a new camera?
I want to buy a new digital camera for a few reasons and want to know what I should look for while I am shopping. I would really like to keep the price at $200 or less (there are a lot of cheap ones on overstock.com, is that a excellent thought?). Also, one of the reasons I am getting it is because I am having a baby and want to take pictures in darker rooms lacking having to blind my baby with a sparkle. Also, it would be nice if it also took videos, action shots (my sister play’s sports), close up scenery shots (I live in a gorgeous area). Mainly I want a camera that produces clean blur free shots (I have had cameras in the past that shot only blurry shots). All in all I would say that I want a camera that can do everything but does not drain my bank account, if such a camera exists. Thanks for any and all help

best cheap digital camera I need to know what is the best (and cheap) digital SLR camera for a beginner?
I am exploring the thought of photography as a new career. I am wanting to take a beginner photography class because i don’t know the first thing about cameras. Of course I am going to need a camera to be able to take any classes, but I don’t want to over-invest just to find out that I am not any excellent. Anyone know of a excellent honestly cheap camera that will fit my needs?

Preferably from about $100 – $150 doubtless. Can you get a excellent quality camera at that range? I’m wanting it new(not refurbished) and a excellent brand like Sony,Nikon,etc. What’s the best you reckon that’s on the market right now. That’s about it.. :)

refurbished digital camera Need help with my Insignia NS DSC7B09 Digital Camera?
I bought a refurbished Insignia NS-DSC7B09 camera for my cousin for Christmas. Well two weeks later and the camera will not turn on now. we changed batteries two or three times…nothing. I bought the camera from Ebay and the seller will not respond back to me. Does anyone know how I may possibly fix this camera?

What is a excellent digital video camera that works with Mac?? I want to be able to record on the camera & then transfer the video, I dont need live recording. Any camera sold on the Apple Store site will work right? They sell only Cannons. Is this one excellent?

also is it better to get it with mini DV cassette or the mini DVDR?
Isnt the Cannon Powershot a regular camera? I want a camcorder.

I bought the Sony handycam & the guy swore to me it worked with Mac & it doesnt. U have to get a firewire(which is habitual) & do alot of other things to get it to work. The softrware & USB dont work & he said it had sandisk & it didnt, it only has memory stick.
Yup I bought the Handy cam that records to DVD. I plotting that would be better, appareantly not. But yes I have an Imac & it has firewire.
